Smart tech is integrating into all our daily activities from purchasing groceries to downloading airline tickets. The global community of technology thought leaders is developing security checkpoints for our information and infrastructure for our data.

“Technology no longer sits in an isolated sector. The capabilities of technical professionals from cybersecurity engineers to scrum masters are demanded by all industries to keep up with growing customer demands,” says Kara Cron, CSS Tec Sales Director

There’s never been a better time to be in the technical realm so if you’re not in it already (you probably are by osmosis), here are the eight hottest tech jobs on the market brought to you by CSS Tec for 2022 and beyond

1. User Experience (UX) Engineer

User flows and sensible web layouts are crucial to digital experiences, and UX engineers make sure a website or application functions smoothly. A UX engineer is a combination of a developer and a UX designer and is responsible for engineering deliverables while using design methodology. UX engineers design and develop applications and web pages, program front-end functionality, and debug issues as they iterate their product. UX engineers must have experience coding in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript among other languages. The average user experience engineer makes $110-$130k per year with high potential on the upside for years of experience, certifications, and technical ability.

2. Full-Stack Engineer

These software engineers are as diverse as they come with expertise in building platforms, infrastructure, and applications from back-end to front. Their versatility attracts businesses looking for a resource to cover all bases instead of hiring two to three engineers to cover the three separate coding arenas. Full-stack engineers design, test, and implement their technology and ensure functionality throughout the development process. Some common languages coded by full-stack engineers include Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and SQL. The average full-stack engineer makes $120k-$150k per year with high potential on the upside for years of experience, certifications, and technical ability.

3. Cloud Architect

A relatively new position in the IT field is the cloud architect, the developer and manager of a company’s cloud operations through implementation, administration, and security services. These professionals most commonly execute cloud operations in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, IBM Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. The average cloud architect makes $130k-$150k per year with high potential on the upside for years of experience, certifications, and technical ability.

4. Data Scientist
